Disco Track
>About the game
Disco Track is a puzzle game about managing a busy train intersection on a dance floor. The player routes trains to matching tiles while keeping the dance floor lit by carefully planning movement and timing.
>My Contribution
I was mainly responsible for designing and balancing the puzzle levels. The core of the game was creating challenges that encouraged players to think several moves ahead while introducing new mechanics at a steady pace.

Design Challenge
The biggest challenge was finding the right difficulty curve. Every new mechanic had to feel interesting without making previous mechanics irrelevant. Many puzzles were built around sequencing; asking the player to solve not only where each train should go, but also in what order.
Since our team didn't have a dedicated artist, we also had to rethink the visual presentation. Instead of treating this as a limitation, we embraced a minimalistic style that kept the game readable and allowed us to focus on gameplay clarity.

Lesson learned
This project reinforced how much puzzle design depends on pacing rather than individual mechanics. A good puzzle is not only about having an interesting solution, but also about introducing new ideas at the right moment and making sure the player always understands the current game state.
